Donna Hunt - Owner/Designer The Loft is more than "a business" it has become the vehicle by which I have "grown into myself". Twenty seven years of reading people and searching out the most unusual pieces to fit the puzzle of their collections and their lifestyles has afforded me an education of incredible value. I treasure this gift and find it my greatest tool. I enjoy the use of texture in creating the feeling of a room. It is as important as color in developing a rich, comfortable ambiance or a light and airy atmosphere in any space. I always consider how a room can be transformed with the seasons, how the architectural attributes can be highlighted in a room or create the lack thereof. I consider how a home or business functions regarding children, entertaining guests and inherent interests, all vital, to determining purchases. I utilize the Dallas Market Center, High Point North Carolina home furnishings center and various craftsmen to implement the diverse mix of eclectic flavor, which is my instinctive style. I believe a successful relationship is dependent on effective communication and a mutual understanding of expectations between the client and the designer. I have a full time assistant in the design studio who works closely with me on all projects therefore insuring a clients needs can be met when I am not available.
